I have been trying to make my life more eco-friendly but I am also drawn to products that offer convenience. Easy Lunchboxes combined the two ideas perfectly.
Easy Lunchboxes generously sent me their lunchbox system to review. The lunchbox system consists of four single-lid, 3-compartment plastic food containers and a cooler bag. No more buying wasteful prepackaged food! The best part (aside from the price) is the containers and cooler bag are FDA approved. No BPA, phthalates, lead, vinyl, or PVC. Safe for dishwasher, freezer, and microwave. You can read more about their product safety information here. They are also safe for refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher making them very convenient.
The Easy Lunchbox system is great for adults as well as for your kids lunch box. There is also a grommet in the carrying handle on the cooler bag to add your own "flair" with a clip or keyring. Easy Lunchboxes also suggests you can use the grommet to attach name tag, caution tag (listing your child's food allergies/restrictions) which I thought was a wonderful idea.
The lunch bags come in Black, Dark Red, Olive, Purple and Aqua and are 9" x 6.5" x 6.5". They will easily hold one of the containers, ice packs, a piece of fruit, and a drink. You can also put up to three containers in there which is going to be perfect for our trips to the zoo. We usually pack a picnic lunch to take with us and we normally end up taking a couple of larger bags to fit all our lunch and snacks in. With the Easy Lunchbox system now we just have to carry one small bag.
The Easy Lunchbox compartmentalized containers are truly the perfect size. They hold just enough food to provide a properly portioned meal. My husband, Brent takes his lunch to work every day and he carries the bag with him and uses one container. Brent really likes his new bag he said he likes how the container fits in the bag nicely and all the compartments on in the container. Brent said he also likes he can put something else in the bag as well, like a hand held gaming system. We had been looking for a lunchbox for Brent for awhile and he is so picky every one I picked out he said no to as he thought they looked too much like a little kid box / bag even if they were solid colored. With the Easy Lunchbox he does not have that complaint! I have been using the containers every day since we got them. I am diabetic and with all my lack of sleep lately I started drinking soda (shame on me!) My blood sugar levels went very high so I started measuring my food again to make sure I stayed within my allowed carbohydrate limit. When I measured out my snack mix and put it into the smallest compartment in the container it was the perfect amount. Now I don't have to get my measuring cup out each time as I know when I fill that compartment up it is the amount I can eat. The Easy Lunchbox has been wonderful with helping in my portion control. I absolutely love this system! Korben likes to eat our of them too!

ReplyDeleteI like this idea: Fill a thermos with boiling water to heat the core for a few minutes. Spill out the water just before you fill the thermos with soup or an entree. The thermos is now hot and ready for your hot food, and will stay that way longer.
Really neat idea--never thought of doing that before. I would pick the black bag.

ReplyDeleteI love the light blue colored Easy Lunchbox
and my favorite "Neat Idea" is keep a small box of slightly opened Arm & Hammer Baking soda inside a ziplock bag that has tiny holes punched in it and store that inside my lunch boxes when not in use to absorb previously used scents to keep fresh and when I get ready to use my lunch box I put the ziplock bag with the baking soda into my fridge to grab again later. You can also add open thermoses & etc inside that ziplock bag to do the same & deodorize them, thanks I love this product and think its the perfect multi pack lunch box one made yet
